More Zones, Zone Events and Loot Display

Orbs Version V1.460.0 is here!

More zones have been added to level upper level 3. It is now completely redesigned and finished.

A new feature called “Zone Events” has been added to the game. It works like this:
Whenever an identity takes over a zone, a special zone event trigger is spawned. It will stay there until it is moved to another place when the zone is captured again. It spawns exactly at the position of the new controller. A zone event can be triggered by any identity colliding with it. Which zone event is triggered is determinated by the active theme of the triggering orb. A lot of room for interesting surprises!

The overall loot display was greatly improved. Loot now has a nice effect and also indicates it’s height when floating over the ground. You’ll like it.

Drain, Lance, Retarder

3 new modules made it to the game.
Drain: Applies stacking hull regeneration reduction of entities in the area
Lance: Creates charged lances around the activator, inflicted damage consumes activator’s charge
Retarder: Reduces target’s maximum speed while in line of sight. When reduced to zero, target takes damage

All of them have been animated with new special effects.
Also some of the existing visual module effects have been pimped. Check out the new Volley or System Pulse!

Additionally I finally applied new audio effects to the different kind of damage themes. So you can hear what hits you now. This will be important when you need to take care which theme is good against another. This aspect will be introduced with the Influence zones.
